Has your website got enough CTAs?

CTAs (Call to Actions) are designed to get your website visitors to the most important pages. You may want them to make a booking for your services, and a clickable graphic can be placed to guide them to that desired page.

This is the basic benefit of having a CTA but sometimes websites simply do not have enough. Most pages will need CTAs to tell the customer what to do next, and a lack of them can prompt confusion for some visitors. It’s important to know that different visitors browse a website in different ways, and while some will read large chunks of text, others will want icons to take them to where they want to go, so make sure you have a sufficient amount of CTAs, it may well improve your bounce rate.

Planning the Look of your Website

Website design can be more important than many businesses think, and if your target audience is not presented with a high level of user experience, they may well move on to a competitor.

A design should attract visitors to head to your most important pages, perhaps services, products or a contact page, and the journey from visitor to customer should be an easy one. This is why planning the design of your new site is important and tweaks can then be made as and when problems arise.

If you’re redesigning your website then you may find that particular pages have high bounce rates, if this is the case then you may want to check the design is appealing with the correct content and CTAs to guide people to the next stage. Always plan the look and feel of your site, even if that means researching competitors sites and drawing out your mock design with a pen and paper.

What is Digital Marketing?

Digital marketing is where you produce marketing and promotional materials for people using digital devices. You can see how this would be important in a world where everybody is accessing information via the digital world, but many business owners may be left asking “how do I take advantage of this?”. Well, the answer to this is far from straight forward, but the potential gains for businesses are extensive; with opportunities for far greater reach than ever before (providing you beat the competition!).

Ultimately, the most important part of any digital marketing campaign is the website you use. This is where all of the traffic developed by the campaign will be driven to, but this still leaves the monumental task of getting the traffic you want and need to make it all a success. In this way, digital marketing can’t just focus on website design; you need to be able to diversify your focus onto all of the areas which demand your attention; from social media and email marketing, to SEO (search engine optimisation) and PPC advertising (pay-per-click); continuing to develop your strategy and refine your goals is a constant demand of digital marketing.
