Responsive Web Design Best Practices

One of the main principles of of designing a responsive website, is to make sure that the browsing experience is the same for all types of users (desktop, mobile etc). This means that you need to be certain all images, grids, content etc will reconfigure with no design issues on different screen sizes.

We recommend that you focus on three different breakpoints when it comes to resolution:

  • 480px – small and old smartphone screens
  • 768px – large smartphone screens, tablets and standard desktop screens
  • 1024px – widescreen desktops

When uploading images onto the site, make sure that all images are flexible. By this, we mean that the images are suitable for all resolutions. We recommend sizing for the mobile market to get the best out of your responsive design.
